Turning Challenge Into Change
I am a subject matter expert with lived experience currently working in the anti-human trafficking sector. Earning my Bachelor’s degree in Human Services launched a 20 year career in nonprofit. My early area of focus was communication accessibility for people with disabilities, gradually transitioning into anti-human trafficking work over the past six years. I combine professional and lived experience as a subject matter expert, speaker, panelist, technical assistant, and trainer to advance the presence of survivor leadership in the anti-human trafficking sector.
As a survivor with a disability, I am passionate about increasing awareness and understanding of the accessibility needs of survivors with disabilities, developing and implementing several training offerings on human trafficking vulnerabilities, disability accessibility, and the intersection of disability and human trafficking.
